Since Union of Risk Management for Preventive Medicine (URMPM) was born in Switzerland in 2002 as an international academic society, the current academic members distribute over 70 countries in both of developed countries and underdeveloped countries, including many international regulatory organizations, such as UN, UNU, WHO, OECD, UNEP, ILO.

 

The URMPM hold e-conference for SARS crisis in 2003, which had been accessed by over 6000 around the world. Also, the URMPM has conducted 2 international forums, i.e., patient safety issue in 2005, and infectious disease issue in 2007, too.

 

 

According to urgent requests by our members in the URMPM, eGlobal Forum of Crisis Management and Crisis Communication for Health Caref now launches in November 2010. The present academic congress is performed jointly with both issues of patient safety and new-infectious disease, together. Finally, the current targeted risks are medical accident, new influenza and disaster.

 

A year is a time when new influenza, disasters and medical accidents generate huge crisis in health care and community around the world.  To shire the experiences, the knowledge and the skills of crisis management and crisis communication in the above risks is clearly urgent to brush up fine heath care system in the international and national perspectives.

 

The URMPM wishes that all of you will join together around the word toward better heath care practice in our new globe.
